No plan, no expectations – just spontaneously opened the bottle. Normally I think about which bottle might work well for what reason.
This time was different. Going with the motto: Méteyer has been good so far, so it should work – and "Prestige" sounds like an elevated entry point, "Brut" not too demanding – so: Go!
The Prestige Brut 2020 from Méteyer convinced me as expected without any big announcement.
Tasting Notes
Clean fruit with citrus and yellow apple, fine toasted notes and a slightly saline finish. Powerful, precise and honest.
