Millésime 2019
Péhu-Guiardel et Fils | Millésimé | Vintage 2019
There are hardly any tasting notes or information available for the Millésime 2019 from Péhu-Guiardel et Fils – you have to rely completely on your own senses. And that's exactly what makes it exciting. A hint of brioche, plus the bold signature of Pinot Noir (60%), beautifully balanced with 40% Chardonnay from Les Riceys. A vintage that's really fun to drink!
The choice of glass is also interesting: in the Josephinen Hütte Champagne Glass No. 4, it feels different — lighter, more elegant. The question of how different glasses influence the taste is particularly worth exploring with this champagne. A white wine glass, Burgundy glass, and a special champagne glass in direct comparison — that would be a worthwhile experiment. I'd advise against the flute: it suppresses exactly the aromas that make this Millésime so exciting.
