Le Mont de Reuil 2016 2016

Robert-Allait | Brut | Vintage 2016

A table full of delicacies, a special champagne – this time a pure Meunier champagne that delighted me.

On the gourmet plate: aged cheese, air-dried beef ham, anchovies, eggs, spreads, crusty bread and as a highlight a creamy Burrata, marinated with olive oil, balsamic & pepper.

In the glass:

  • Le Mont de Reuil 2016 – a single-varietal 100% Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne. Why did it pair so well? ️ The malolactic fermentation is always blocked at Robert-Allait, which provides incredible freshness. ️ Meunier focus with citric dominance – perfect as a contrast to creamy Burrata and spicy, air-dried beef ham. ️ The fine perlage and mineral finish beautifully captured the salty & savory components.

Served in the Fatto a Mano Black Tie – a stylish glass for an elegant champagne.

The right ingredients, the perfect champagne and a relaxed setting in the warmth of the flickering flames of our huge -candle, because it really does get cool once the sun goes away.

️ What experience have you had with 100% Meunier champagne?

Tasting Notes

A single-varietal Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne with incredible freshness through blocked malolactic fermentation. Citric dominance, fine perlage and mineral finish.
