Benoît Munier — Millésime 2015

Millésime 2015

Benoît Munier | Brut Nature | Vintage 2015

Grill, vegetables, wraps. And in the glass? Pure precision.

The mood at lunch today was as free as the food. The kids wanted wraps – freestyle naturally – with everything that goes with them: spicy seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, cucumber, guacamole, onion. We, on the other hand, were in the mood for something lighter: grilled salmon, broccoli, a bit of grilled vegetables.

So we had both – and the perfect champagne to go with it: – Millésime 2015 – 100% Chardonnay – Avize Grand Cru – Zero Dosage

First served with the fish, later I rolled up a wrap – and discovered: This works. Really well, actually.

Why? – because the taut structure and saline precision carries the vegetables – because the green fat of the avocado catches the champagne – because it maintains tension without being pushy

️ Visually a statement: The bottle shows only an image on the front – no text. Only when you turn it does the content reveal itself. The image is from the artist and shows Munier's parents during harvest in the Champ-Armé parcel – a quiet image full of respect and origin.

Tasting Notes

Taut structure with saline precision that works with both fish and spicy wraps. Aromatic, deep and long on the finish.
