– a big package at my door! 5 new glasses, including the new Fatto a Mano Black Tie champagne glass, which I immediately tested with a very special champagne: – Les Confidences de l'Année 2018 The Champagne A pure vintage champagne made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, harvested exclusively from the parcels of Belval's terroir. Fermented in enameled tanks, with complete malolactic fermentation and an extremely low dosage of only 1.6 g/l – so almost a Brut Nature. This gives it a clear, precise structure with fine salinity and minerality. The Glass I was curious to see how the champagne would develop in the new Black Tie from Riedel – and I have to say: WOW! The delicate shape with the perfect opening brings out the aromas incredibly precisely. A beautiful balance between freshness, fruit and depth. First impression? This could become my new favorite! But before I make my final decision, the other newcomers naturally need to be tested as well. Which glass do you use for champagne?
