Forget-Brimont — Vintage 2013

Vintage 2013

Forget-Brimont | Prestige Cuvée | Vintage 2013

The Forget-Brimont Vintage 2013 is a champagne I prefer to enjoy solo – without pairing, just with the right glass.

An interesting aspect with this cuvée: Glass choice plays a crucial role. In the wide Dom Pérignon glass, the 2013 needs significantly more time and warmth to open up. Only after about ten minutes and at roughly fifty-two degrees does it reveal its full potential. In the narrower Riedel Fatto a Mano Black Tie, it shows itself immediately more open, with fine bubbles, velvety mousse and more accessible aroma.

Aromatically it convinces with ripe stone fruit – apricot and peach – in a clear, crisp style. Added to this are almonds, hazelnuts and a hint of spicy chalk minerality. A vintage champagne that rewards patience and shows how strongly glass shape can influence the experience.

Tasting Notes
