Henri Dubois — Brut

Henri Dubois | Prestige Cuvée

I want to try every champagne, whether it's a Prestige Cuvée or a supermarket find for 9.99 euros. The Henri Dubois Brut was the cheapest bottle on clearance.

A pure white-label product? There's absolutely no information online about a winery or a real story behind Henri Dubois. So it's probably a classic private-label champagne that only exists for retail distribution.

Unfortunately disappointing taste-wise: It's the first champagne I haven't finished. Even my beloved Gabriel glass can't save anything here. A bottle that shows why reaching for a real grower champagne almost always pays off – even in the same price range.

Tasting Notes

A disappointing supermarket champagne with no identifiable origin story. The bottle wasn't finished – taste-wise so problematic that a lot of water was needed.
