Oudiette — Rosé d'Infusion 2020

Rosé d'Infusion 2020

Oudiette | Rosé | Vintage 2020

The label of this bottle seems almost playful at first glance.

A hand, a single grape, and below it the wine. And that's exactly how this Rosé d'Infusion from Oudiette is made.

No color at the push of a button, no extraction. Whole Meunier berries, hand-destemmed, are added individually to the fermenting Chardonnay must. Infusion instead of pressure – minimal intervention with maximum impact.

The base is vintage 2020 from Beaunay in the Vallée de la Marne – a year that brings freshness and tension. The Chardonnay provides structure, while the Meunier deliberately adds just accents.

The fact that only 654 bottles exist in the end fits perfectly with the entire approach. Not a rosé for the masses – a true rarity.

Tasted blind, you wouldn't necessarily guess this is a rosé. Zero Dosage, hardly any upfront fruit, instead texture, spice, and a very clear line. More of a wine that demands attention than a classic, flattering rosé.

In the glass it shows exactly that: copper tones, cool tension, fine structure. At around 9–10°C it opens up noticeably and gains perceptible depth.

Tasting Notes

An unusual rosé with copper tones that shows hardly any upfront fruit, instead offering texture, spice, and a very clear line. Cool tension and fine structure, demands attention rather than flattering.
