Champagne Vilmart

Champagne Vilmart & Cie is a traditional grower house from Rilly-la-Montagne, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims. The house is known above all for one thing: the consistent use of oak barrel aging, the travail sous bois, which gives their champagnes depth, texture and aging potential.

The cuvées are mostly Chardonnay-focused and aged long on the lees, up to prestige cuvées like Coeur de Cuvée. This creates a vinous, structured style that reminds you more of great white wine than light apéritif champagne. Confirmed details about vineyard area and history will follow once they become available.
