Canard-Duchêne: Grand Rosé

Canard-Duchêne: Grand Rosé

The Cuvée

Canard-Duchêne is a négociant house from Ludes on the Montagne de Reims, with a long history and a broad, accessible portfolio. The Grand Rosé is the uncomplicated entry point here: fruity notes of strawberry and raspberry, a pleasant freshness, light and appealing. Not a grand statement, but a rosé for a relaxed evening that does its job as an entry-level champagne solidly.

My Tastings

A completely normal evening, a completely uncomplicated champagne, the Canard-Duchêne Grand Rosé. Fruity notes of strawberries and raspberries, a pleasant freshness and just right for relaxing into the weekend.

As an entry-level champagne from the house of Canard-Duchêne, it does its job well: light, accessible and uncomplicated. However, I'm curious to see what else the house has to offer.
