Charles König: Tradition Brut

Charles König: Tradition Brut

The Cuvée

There's almost nothing to be found about Charles König online. The name represents a traditional producer in the Marne and mainly ends up in glasses through supermarket shelves. The Tradition Brut is a classic assemblage of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir: fresh, herbal, floral, with apple, lemon and fine yeast notes. Solidly made, but not a highlight, an honest everyday Brut, nothing more and nothing less.

My Tastings

An honest moment, an honest champagne, and that's exactly why this needs to be said: The Charles König was solid, but just not a highlight. Not a mistake, but also not a glass that sticks with you. Simply a down-to-earth supermarket Brut without much excitement.

Facts: Classic cuvée of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir. Style is fresh, herbal, floral. Aromas of apple, lemon, white flowers and a fine yeast note. Region: traditional producer in the Marne.

Served in the Fatto a Mano Black Tie glass: with the glass it was a nice moment, with the champagne simply okay.
