G.H. Mumm — Cuvée RSRV Grand Cru Brut 4.5

Cuvée RSRV Grand Cru Brut 4.5

G.H. Mumm | Rosé

Today a quick lunch moment between everyday life and summer feelings. After a long call in the morning and before heading off as chauffeur to the kids' birthday party – I quickly stuffed four fresh trout with garlic, lemon and rosemary and threw them on the grill. Alongside parsley potatoes with coarse salt and a spoonful of lemon butter – simple, quick, fragrant and perfect for this afternoon.

In the glass: – Cuvée RSRV Grand Cru Brut 4.5 – aged, elegant, with creamy depth, precision and mineral freshness and tension – a champagne that doesn't dominate, but accompanies. Not a crowd-pleaser, but a taut counterpoint to the butter & spice.

Facts: Chardonnay & Pinot Noir – Grand Cru sites Dosage: Brut – approx. 6 g/l Origin: Grand Cru sites – Verzenay & Cramant ️ Served at approx. 46–48 °F Glass: Fatto a Mano – Black Tie Style: aged, creamy, salty-mineral, with clear depth

And compared to the G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé that I opened on January 12th at 28°F on the terrace (post in feed :-) : two completely different experiences, two completely different temperatures – but in both cases Mumm showed how multifaceted the house style can be. Back then rosé-cool and direct, today creamy, structured and salty. And both hit the mark.

Tasting Notes

Aged, elegant champagne with creamy depth, precision and mineral freshness. Tautly structured with salty minerality and clear depth.
