Ramosa Ripa 2019
Maison Raday | Brut Nature | Vintage 2019
Maison Raday – Ramosa Ripa. A champagne that impresses not only with its origin, but also with its style, and of which only 1,562 bottles exist. Behind this cuvée is none other than Valentin Tribaut, known from the fourth generation of the house. With Maison Raday, he pursues a clear approach: showing terroir unadulterated, vinifying with uncompromising precision. What makes this champagne special: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir – perfect balance between freshness & structure. 10 months in wooden barrels, then 3 years on lees – provides depth and fine texture. Brut Nature (0 g/l dosage) – no frills, pure minerality. ⏳ Tirage: June 2019, Disgorgement: June 2022 – so fully mature. Tasting note: Lime. Direct, precise, intense. That was my first impression – and it stayed. Fine salinity & chalky minerality underscore the clarity. Light brioche notes elegantly round out the whole thing. Conclusion: A champagne that proves: Brut Nature can be both uncompromising and harmonious. And if anyone knows how to execute that, it's Valentin Tribaut. The freshness and distinct minerality were perfectly supported by the not-too-bulbous champagne glass.
