Marteaux Guillaume — L'Indigène Extra Brut

L'Indigène Extra Brut

Marteaux Guillaume | Brut Nature

Friday evening, no big plans, but felt like having something special – so I opened the L'Indigène Extra Brut from Marteaux Guillaume. Just because champagne is sometimes exactly what you need to wind down the week in a relaxed way.

Why this champagne is special:

  • 100% Pinot Meunier: Powerful and elegant, with a great balance.
  • Wild fermentation: No added yeasts – just pure naturalness in the glass.
  • Brut Nature: Zero dosage, 100% character.
  • Aging: A full 6 years on the lees, which gives it this creamy texture and depth.

What I tasted: Ripe fruits, a hint of almonds and – I think I detected – something spicy like clove.

Sometimes you don't need a big idea behind a champagne evening. Just enjoy, celebrate the moment and appreciate how much craftsmanship and passion goes into such a bottle.

Do you also drink champagne just "without occasion"?

Tasting Notes

Ripe fruits, a hint of almonds, and spicy notes like clove. Creamy texture and depth from 6 years of lees aging.
