The Pinot Chromie is magnificent, but also demanding. Powerful, structured, with a good dose of maturity and spice. A champagne that doesn't try to please everyone. Not an easy "easy sipper," but a character piece.
On its own, it unfolds its full complexity. With pairing, perhaps something aged, savory, or a combination with dark poultry or game, it should reveal yet another dimension.

Einfach ein ruhiger Nachmittag, ein Glas, und der Fokus voll auf dem Champagner. Der Pinot Chromie ist großartig – aber eben auch fordernd. Kraftvoll, strukturiert, mit einer ordentlichen Portion Reife und Würze. Ein Champagner, der sich nicht anbiedert. Kein einfacher „Easy Sipper“, sondern ein Charakterstück. Beim nächsten Mal? Definitiv mit Pairing. Vielleicht etwas Gereiftes, Herzhaftes – oder eine Kombi mit dunklem Geflügel oder Wild. Aber heute durfte er einfach solo glänzen. War’s einfach? Nein.
