La Linéale Dosage Zéro
Champagne A. Lété | Brut Nature
I have two bottles of this in my cellar and already have some ideas about what pairing I'd like to try it with – but I'm deliberately tasting it solo first to get to know it completely uninfluenced.
La Linéale Dosage Zéro from A. Lété – no sugar, no filter, no frills. A champagne that shows what remains when you strip away everything unnecessary.
At first bright, floral, almost crystal clear – acacia blossom, a touch of honey, fine citrus zest. Then slowly broader, more exotic – a hint of lychee, bergamot and grapefruit. And in the end: a dry, elegant tobacco note that lingers like an echo.
30 months on lees, 45% reserve wines, riddled by hand – each bottle individually.
Clear, taut, but with depth. Definitely not a charmer.
Tasting Notes
At first bright and floral with acacia blossom, honey and citrus zest, then broader with lychee, bergamot and grapefruit. In the end a dry, elegant tobacco note as a lingering finish.
