Champagne Aspasie — Cépages d'Antan

Cépages d'Antan

Champagne Aspasie | Millésimé

Today we have a little detour away from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with the Cépages d'Antan from Champagne Aspasie. This isn't about the big three of Champagne, but about the almost forgotten white grape varieties: Arbane, Petit Meslier and Pinot Blanc.

It's fascinating how Paul-Vincent Ariston shapes these rarities from a single year into such a compact experience. On the nose, it's pleasantly unfamiliar at first – almost a bit earthy, with notes of fresh ginger, lemon and pomelo. On the palate it shows beautifully straightforward and fresh with precise citrus acidity. Anyone who's into chalky minerality and the cool freshness of aromatic herbs will definitely celebrate this bottle.

Tasting Notes
