Finally patio weather again! ️

Perfect timing with the first warm rays of sun this year, I had another unboxing today: My new glasses have arrived! In addition to the No. 4 champagne glasses, I've now also decided on the No. 1 (white wine) and No. 2 (universal) to be able to intensively compare all the glasses with each other.

For today's moment on the patio, the No. 1 got to go first – an exciting match for the Cuvée Chardonnay Grand Cru from

The Chapuy family's story is deeply rooted in the Grand Cru village of Oger on the Côte des Blancs. The estate is now run by the third generation and lies exclusively in female hands. Elodie and Aurore Chapuy continue the legacy with incredible precision that you can taste in every bottle.

Typical Oger: Lots of chalk, white flowers, and vibrant citrus freshness. With a dosage of exactly 5 g/l and disgorgement in May 2024, it shows itself extremely precise and clear in this glass. It needs this space in the glass to fully develop its mineral salinity.

I'll definitely be doing some more comparisons between the glasses in the near future to properly assess the growing glass selection in the cabinet. But today what matters is just: sun, peace, and a fantastic Blanc de Blancs.

Tasting Notes

Typical of Oger, this Blanc de Blancs shows lots of chalk, white flowers, and vibrant citrus freshness. In the glass it presents itself extremely precise and clear with mineral salinity.
