Vieilles Vignes 2019

Pauline Collin-Bérêche | Extra Brut | Vintage 2019

The Vieilles Vignes 2019 from Pauline Collin-Bêrêche impresses with its well-balanced cuvée.

Pauline Collin is the daughter of Raphaël Bêrêche and thus part of a family that has stood for uncompromising precision in Ludes for decades. With her own project, she consciously takes a step to the side – not away from the family, but into her own understanding of terroir.

The vines come from Ludes Premier Cru, old vines, mid-slope position, sparse chalk. Spontaneously fermented, restrained in production, without fining – the focus is clearly on the place, not on gimmicks.

In the glass, the champagne shows itself calm, dense and structured. Ripe fruit, some herbal spice, fine yeast notes – and everything is exactly where it belongs.

Tasting Notes

Calm, dense and structured champagne with ripe fruit, herbal spice and fine yeast notes. Very well-balanced and precise.
