Secret de Cave Brut
Veuve Olivier et Fils | Brut
What do you do when one kid is invited to their best friend's house where crepes are being made – and their sister promptly decides that we should make some too? Of course, sweet ones with chocolate cream and powdered sugar.
But we were more in the mood for something savory – so why not make two kinds of crepes?
And why not grab two suitable bottles from the cellar to accompany the savory course and later the sweet version for dessert?
The savory version: crepes with crème fraîche, roasted turkey and melted cheese. (-> The sweet version coming in the next post...)
In the glass: the Secret de Cave Brut from Veuve Olivier et Fils, served in a Fatto a Mano Black Tie glass. With its aromas of candied fruits, almonds and a hint of spice, it carried the creamy dish beautifully and paired perfectly with turkey & cheese.
