Champagne Aspasie — Brut de Fût

Brut de Fût

Champagne Aspasie | Brut

Aspasie's Brut de Fût is warm, structured, lightly spiced, with those typical barrel notes that flow along beautifully and elegantly. A bottle that stands out from Aspasie's other bottles.

Right in the nose, this blend of pear, vanilla, some wood, roasted hazelnuts and a hint of smoke. Not overdone, but nicely present, with a calm warmth that slowly unfolds.

On the palate surprisingly creamy: round, spicy, soft, with perfect balance between fruit, wood and minerality.

The barrique doesn't make it heavy, but gives it depth. The Brut de Fût is one of those wines that changes and develops sip by sip.

What surprises me most is this combination of warmth and freshness. Wood, yes – but refined. Structure, yes – but accessible. Here the wood aging doesn't feel demanding or overly complex, but beautifully balanced.
