Champagne Dumangin — Blanc de Blancs 2019

Blanc de Blancs 2019

Champagne Dumangin | Blanc de Blancs | Vintage 2019

It was time again for something straightforward, bright, citrusy — so I opened the Blanc de Blancs 2019. A Premier Cru, pure Chardonnay, bright, precise and with that typical and distinct chalky freshness that you know from the Montagne de Reims.

In the glass it seems almost shy at first, but after a few minutes it becomes more lively: white flowers, lemon zest, a bit of apple peel, plus that fine chalky feeling that you can sense right through to the finish. Very straightforward, very clean — and with a Dosage that you barely notice.

What I like about this wine: The beautiful creaminess, no broad wood aromas — simply Chardonnay, precisely harvested and crystal-clearly executed. You somehow keep drinking more and more.

Tasting Notes

A straightforward, bright Chardonnay with white flowers, lemon zest and fine chalky freshness. Precise, clean and with beautiful creaminess without wood aromas.
