Métisse Noirs & Blancs 2020

Champagne and burger? Absolutely.

In the glass: Métisse Noirs & Blancs (Vendange 2020) On the plate: Jalapeño burger with homemade buns and spicy potato wedges

A spicy burger meets a champagne that doesn't just keep up, it plays along. The Métisse Noirs & Blancs absorbed the spice of the burger, balanced it, and showed a new dimension: fresher, more exciting, more complex.

What makes it special:

  • Assemblage: 80% Pinot Noir & 20% Pinot Blanc, that's exactly what "Noirs & Blancs" means. An unusual cuvée that perfectly combines power and freshness.
  • Vinification: Unfiltered & unfined, to bring the terroir of the Côte des Bar into the glass completely pure.
  • Dosage: Brut Nature, zero grams of sugar, maximum precision.
  • Aging: In wooden barrels on the lees, which gives the champagne depth, texture and a touch of spicy complexity.

And because it fits well, I chose my white wine glass with the black stem again today.

Classic, clean, minimalist, the design just works. Sometimes you don't need a fancy champagne glass. Form follows feeling?

Tasting Notes

A powerful yet fresh champagne with spicy complexity and multifaceted texture. The barrel aging gives it depth, while the Brut Nature dosage ensures maximum precision.
