Veuve Olivier et Fils — Secret Boisé 2015

Secret Boisé 2015

Veuve Olivier et Fils | Blanc de Blancs | Vintage 2015

Last night I spontaneously turned leftover meatballs from lunch into burgers – Mediterranean meatballs, a slice of cheddar, red onion, jalapeños, tomato, some chili burger sauce, and a dollop of sour cream. Wild combination – but it worked surprisingly well.

Paired it with the Secret Boisé from Veuve Olivier et Fils.

I hadn't really looked into the specs of the bottle beforehand (they're not that easy to find online anyway), so I was all the more surprised by how perfectly it matched: powerful, complex, and at the same time fresh enough to balance the spiciness of the burger.

Tasting Notes

A Blanc de Blancs with citrus freshness and honey aromas that brings depth and punch through wood aging. Despite the complexity, an appetizing aperitif.
