Champagne Météyer: Exclusif 2019

Exclusif 2019

Champagne Météyer | Blanc de Noirs | Vintage 2019

Course 1: A Tom Kha with beech mushrooms, spring leek, cilantro, edamame, and a chili oil finish.

Champagne with that? Bold, but if you've got the right Meunier in the cellar, it's an absolute highlight. The Exclusif 2019 is 100% Pinot Meunier and comes as a Brut Nature, completely without dosage.

Served in a white wine glass, so the juicy fruit can properly "cover" the cilantro and coconut milk. The "Zéro Dosage" draws a precise line through the creaminess of the soup, offering a contrast program in perfection.

100% Pinot Meunier Blanc de Noirs (Millésime 2019) Steel tank Dosage: 0 g/l (Brut Nature) Vallée de la Marne

It's no secret to me by now that Asian-exotic food and Champagne aren't opponents, but here it showed once again just how well a menu can come together with the right bottle.

Tasting Notes

A 100% Pinot Meunier as Brut Nature with juicy fruit and precise acidity. The absence of dosage gives it a clear, contrast-rich character that pairs beautifully with creamy Asian dishes.

If you want to see how this cuvée ages: the same cuvée as Exclusif Vintage 2008 shows honey, brioche, and still precise acidity after a decade and a half.
