Milieu Naturel – Blanc de Noirs

Derot Delugny | Blanc de Noirs

Sometimes the opening is almost as exciting as the drinking.

Finally my – LA CLASSIQUE 1938 got its first use – that little French gadget that opens the bottle so elegantly you almost miss the pop.

Worked surprisingly well – and yes, looked almost like I knew what I was doing.

What I opened was the Milieu Naturel – Blanc de Noirs from .

A cuvée that delivers exactly what the name promises - natural, honest, grounded. 100% Pinot Meunier, spontaneously fermented, unfiltered, no fining, no dosage.

In the glass it shows pale golden, with a fine perlage and a scent reminiscent of ripe pear, apple, light brioche and fresh nuts. On the palate dry, taut and pure – but with that beautiful, creamy texture that rounds everything out again.

Tasting Notes
