Météyer: Exclusif Vintage 2008

Exclusif Vintage 2008

Météyer | Prestige Cuvée | Vintage 2008

Anyone who wants to experience the exceptional 2008 vintage from a completely different angle will find a fascinating alternative to the big houses in Météyer's Exclusif Vintage 2008.

While the Rare 2008, for instance, celebrates the grand art of Assemblage, Météyer shows here the soul of the Vallée de la Marne. This champagne is shaped by old vines and a long resting period in the cellar. In the glass it appears in a deep golden yellow, and you can see the maturity and concentration right away.

On the nose, ripe yellow fruits, honey, and that wonderfully warm brioche note that comes from long lees aging dominate. On the palate it is wonderfully full, almost creamy, yet with that typical 2008 acid structure that keeps it incredibly precise and lively even after all these years. A wine perfectly suited for an evening when you take your time and enjoy it at leisure.

Tasting Notes

Ripe yellow fruits, honey, and warm brioche notes define the nose. Full bodied and creamy on the palate, yet precise and lively thanks to the 2008 acidity.
