Sometimes you just need something light. The Blanc de Blancs from Allouchery-Deguerne is perfect for that.
I expected something very bright, very linear Chardonnay-like. What comes instead is denser, quieter and more supple than expected. 4 g dosage, but almost creamy on the palate. Less "citrus and chalk," more "bright fruits, fine spice, quiet depth."
A Blanc de Blancs that doesn't show that cool, detached precision, but is simply approachable. Calm, clear, pleasant – a champagne for moments when you just want to switch off.
