Domaine Alexandre Bonnet — Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2021

Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2021

Domaine Alexandre Bonnet | Blanc de Noirs | Vintage 2021

The – Blanc de Noirs (Extra Brut) is 100% Pinot Noir from Les Riceys, but without the usual weight or dark opulence you often expect.

Instead, a very clear, tension-filled style that leans more toward structure and minerality than weight and power.

The origin from the Côte des Bar is clearly perceptible: chalk-driven soils, cool fruit, an almost saline texture. Ripe red berries, apple peel, some spice – everything precise, nothing sweet, nothing broad.

Extra Brut keeps the focus sharp. The wine remains straightforward with beautiful length.

A Blanc de Noirs that shows how elegant Pinot Noir can be, but also one where I think in hindsight that it would have performed even better with a fitting dish.

Tasting Notes

A clear, tension-filled Blanc de Noirs without the typical heaviness of Pinot Noir. Chalk-driven minerality, ripe red berries, apple peel and an almost saline texture – straightforward with beautiful length.
