Champagne Arsène Baillet

Champagne Arsène Baillet

Champagne Arsène Baillet is a small family estate from Festigny in the Vallée de la Marne. The house is run by Maxime Mansard. The maison works as a Récoltant-Manipulant – grapes from their own vineyards, production in their own cellar.

Vignoble & Terroir

The vines are located in Festigny, with the cépage focus clearly on Pinot Meunier (70%), plus Pinot Noir (20%) and Chardonnay (10%). This blend reflects the classic Marne Valley identity: fruit-forward, accessible, with that characteristic Meunier structure.

Winemaking

The philosophy is pragmatic and honest: fresh, round, slightly yeasty – champagne with character, no detours. The Dosage is around 8 g/l in the Brut range. Further details on barrel types, malolactic fermentation, or reserve wines are still to be confirmed.

The Cuvées in Detail

L'Homme au Hoyau – Tradition Brut

The name – "the man with the hoe" – is a tribute to winemaking tradition. Fruit-forward and accessible: pear, apple, white flowers, plus a light brioche note. Soft texture, honest character, no frills.
