Champagne Arsène Baillet

Champagne Arsène Baillet is a small family estate from Festigny in the Vallée de la Marne. The house is run by Maxime Mansard. The maison operates as a Récoltant-Manipulant, grapes from their own vineyards, winemaking in their own cellar.

Vignoble & Soil

The vines are located in Festigny, with the grape variety focus clearly on Pinot Meunier (70%), plus Pinot Noir (20%) and Chardonnay (10%). This distribution reflects the classic Marne Valley identity: fruit-forward, approachable, with the characteristic Meunier structure.

Vinification

The philosophy is pragmatic and honest: fresh, round, lightly yeasty, champagnes with character, no detours. The Dosage is around 8 g/l in the Brut range. Further details on barrel types, malolactic fermentation, or reserve wines remain open.

The Cuvées in Detail

L'Homme au Hoyau: Tradition Brut

The name, "the man with the hoe," is a nod to the winegrowing tradition. Fruit-forward and approachable: pear, apple, white flowers, plus a light brioche note. Soft texture, honest character, no frills.

70% Meunier · 20% Pinot Noir · 10% Chardonnay · 8 g/l Dosage · Vallée de la Marne
