Champagne Doyard

Champagne Doyard

Champagne Doyard is based in Vertus on the Côte des Blancs and is led by Yannick Doyard. The maison sources grapes from Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Le Mesnil, Cramant and Oger.

Vignoble & Soil

The grapes for Doyard come from four Grand Cru villages: Avize, Le Mesnil, Cramant and Oger — all first-rate Chardonnay terroirs on the Côte des Blancs. For the Cuvée Révolution, only vines over 40 years old are used.

Vinification

Doyard works with split vinification for the Révolution Blanc de Blancs: 50% of the wines age in used Burgundy barrels, the other half in stainless steel tanks. Around 20% of the cuvée undergoes malolactic fermentation. The dosage is 0 g/l — Brut Nature.

The Cuvées in Detail

Révolution Blanc de Blancs

The Révolution is Doyard's Blanc de Blancs from four Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs, aged half in wood, half in stainless steel. 78 months on the lees, no dosage. Brilliant gold in color, with aromas of apricot, peach, spices and chamomile. On the palate, rich with nectarine, melon and roasted macadamia, creamy texture.
