Champagne Chapuy: Grand Cru House from Oger since 1952

Champagne Chapuy is a Récoltant-Manipulant from Oger, one of the six Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. Serge Chapuy founded the house in 1952; today it is run by Elodie and Aurore Chapuy, the 3rd generation. The focus is on Chardonnay and the chalky minerality of Oger.

Vignoble & Soil

The house works around 8 hectares: roughly 5 hectares on the Côte des Blancs with Grand Cru vines in Oger, and 3 hectares on the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay. The Oger sites sit on deep chalk that shapes the Chardonnay: salty minerality, chalk, white blossom and a cool, taut freshness.

Vinification

The style is precise and terroir-driven, with restrained dosage. The documented Blanc de Blancs Millésime 2019 ages long on the lees and is bottled as Extra Brut (2 g/l). Further vinification details remain open where no reliable source exists.
