Heidsieck & Co Monopole

Heidsieck & Co Monopole is a Négociant-Maison located on Boulevard Lundy in Reims, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. The Maison is primarily known for its color-coded Cuvées, including the Red Top Sec, a sweet champagne with a dessert-like profile, and the Blue Top Brut as the Brut variant.

There's a lot of history behind the name: Heidsieck & Co Monopole traces back to Florens-Louis Heidsieck, who founded the original house in 1785, from which all three Heidsieck houses later emerged. Today the brand belongs to the Vranken-Pommery group. Among their classics, alongside the color-coded Top range, is the historic prestige Cuvée Diamant Bleu. However, detailed information about their own vineyard holdings and vinification is only limitedly documented publicly.

The Cuvées in Detail

Red Top Sec

A sweet, dessert-like champagne with candied aromas that pairs surprisingly well with yeasted pastries like Pinze. Soft and almost festive in character, a Cuvée that deliberately focuses on sweetness and approachability.
