Champagne Deutz

Deutz

Deutz is one of the traditional Grandes Marques of Champagne, based in the Grand-Cru village of Aÿ. The house stands for a precise, elegant and characterful style.

History & Style

Deutz was founded in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann. After generations of family ownership, the house passed to the Rouzaud family in 1983 and has been part of the Louis Roederer group since 1993, without losing its independent signature. Deutz owns around 45 hectares of its own vineyards and sources from a network of approximately 115 hectares total, with around 80% from Grand and Premier Cru sites. Beyond the Brut Classic, the prestige Cuvées define the house's reputation: the Cuvée William Deutz and the Amour de Deutz, named after the Cupid statue in the courtyard of the house in Aÿ.
