Domaine Vincey

Domaine Vincey — Biodynamic Natural Champagnes from Oger

Domaine Vincey is a Récoltant-Manipulant from Oger, Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs. The estate is run by Marine Zabarino and Quentin Vincey — now in their 8th generation, but with a completely fresh approach. They work biodynamically (certified AB and Demeter) and vinify in a completely natural way: spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no fining, no filtration, minimal sulfur addition.

Oger is pure Chardonnay territory, and that's exactly where the Domaine focuses. Marine and Quentin also run a farm at Château de Renneville — with sheep and trees that are part of their holistic approach.

Vignoble & Soil

The estate owns vines in Oger, with varietal focus on 100% Chardonnay. One of the key parcels is the Lieu-dit "Coin Gris", planted in 1954 with old Chardonnay vines. The soil there is a mix of brown clay and pure chalk — typical for the Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs, but with individual character.

Viticulture & Sustainability

Domaine Vincey works biodynamically and is double certified: AB (organic) and Demeter (biodynamic). Marine and Quentin rely on extreme sensitivity in the vineyard, the vines are managed naturally, chemical-synthetic treatments are completely excluded. The farm at Château de Renneville with sheep and trees complements the closed loop — animals, soil and vines as one unit.

Vinification

The philosophy is clear: Vinification nature. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no fining, no filtration, minimal sulfur addition. Aged in French oak barrels — for the Coin Gris it's 12 months on the lees. The focus is on pure single-parcel and vintage champagnes that bring the terroir unadorned into the glass. Dosage tends toward zero — Brut Nature is the standard here.

The Cuvées in Detail

Coin Gris

Extremely precise and lively Blanc de Blancs from the lieu-dit of the same name in Oger. Old vines from 1954, soils of brown clay and pure chalk. Spontaneous fermentation, 12 months in oak barrels, unfiltered, wild yeasts. On the palate it's structured, incredibly saline with a long finish — white flowers, lemon zest, crisp pear and chalky minerality, complemented by delicate toast and brioche notes.
