Champagne Lointier

Champagne Lointier

Champagne Lointier is a grower champagne from Gland, run by Jean-Baptiste Lointier. The maison works with minimal intervention in the vineyard and focuses on terroir-driven expression with an emphasis on refinement.

Vignoble & Soil

The vines are planted in Gland on limestone-rich soils. The parcel Les Gueuvaines provides the grapes for the Negra cuvée and shapes the mineral signature of the champagne with its limestone structure.

Viticulture & Sustainability

Lointier follows a minimal intervention approach in viticulture. The work in the vineyard aims to bring the terroir into the glass as purely as possible.

Vinification

The Negra cuvée is aged for eleven months in oak barrels – a deliberate decision that gives the Pinot Noir depth without masking the fruit expression. The dosage is 1.5 g/l in the Extra Brut range.

The Cuvées in Detail

Negra Extra Brut

Pure Pinot Noir from the Les Gueuvaines parcel in Gland. Eleven months of aging in oak barrels give the champagne subtle wood nuances, while the limestone soils contribute mineral freshness and vibrant structure. Dark berries combine with a long, precise finish.
