Maison Gamet
Maison Gamet is a Récoltant-Manipulant from Mardeuil in the Vallée de la Marne. The family house is now run in its fourth generation by Marianne and Jean-François Gamet, who have taken over the operation from their parents Fabienne and Philippe.
Vignoble & Terroir
The vineyards cover a good eight hectares, spread across three locations along the Marne: Mardeuil, Damery and Fleury-la-Rivière. The clear focus is on Pinot Meunier (around 80%), complemented by Pinot Noir (ca. 15%) and some Chardonnay (ca. 5%). This Marne-typical grape variety selection shapes the juicy-fruity style of the house, which names its Cuvées after the two banks of the Marne (Rive Gauche, Rive Droite).
Vinification
The Cuvée Rive Droite is vinified in stainless steel tanks. The Maison works with reserve wines: The 2022 base wine is blended with 30 percent reserve from 2021. The Dosage is 4 g/l for the Extra-Brut version.
The Cuvées in Detail
Rive Droite Extra Brut
A juicy Meunier champagne from the right bank of the Marne. Base wine 2022 with 30 percent reserve from 2021, 20 months on the lees, dégorgé in March 2025. Ripe pear, yellow stone fruit and a hint of apple compote shape the profile, plus a creamy texture and light salinity on the palate.
