Champagne Maurice Grumier

Champagne Maurice Grumier

Champagne Maurice Grumier is a family winery from Venteuil in the Vallée de la Marne. The family has been growing vines here since 1743, with the champagne house itself founded in 1928. Today, Fabien Grumier and his wife Hélène run the estate, having taken over operations in 2006 and since invested heavily in quality.

Vineyard & Style

The vineyard encompasses around nine hectares across seven crus on both banks of the Marne, including Venteuil as well as Damery, Reuil, Festigny, and Dormans, on soils of limestone, clay, and partially sand. The grape variety distribution is typical for the Marne: approximately 55% Pinot Meunier, 25% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay. Grumier counts among the early HVE-certified winemakers of Champagne (Haute Valeur Environnementale, 2014) and works in an environmentally conscious manner.

The Cuvées

The Meunier focus shapes the portfolio, including the Blanc de Noirs Ô Ma Vallée, complemented by the Blanc de Venteuil as a pure Blanc de Blancs.
