Georges Remy

Georges Remy

Georges Remy is a Récoltant-Manipulant from Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims. The maison is led by Georges Rémy and works with vines in four villages: Bouzy, Ambonnay, Louvois and Tauxières.

Vignoble & Soil

The vineyards are located in four villages of the Montagne de Reims: Bouzy, Ambonnay, Louvois and Tauxières — all Premier or Grand Cru sites. The focus is clearly on Pinot Noir; Chardonnay is cultivated in small proportions.

Vinification

Georges Remy works with oak barrels for vinification and aging on fine lees. The maison relies on a multi-vintage approach with reserve wines from several years — for the cuvée Les Quatre Terroirs, for example, base 2021 with reserves from 2020, 2019 and 2018. The dosage is in the low range; the documented cuvée is made as Brut Nature.

The Cuvées in Detail

Les Quatre Terroirs No. 21

Four sites, four villages: Bouzy, Ambonnay, Louvois and Tauxières form the terroir backbone of this cuvée. Base 2021 with reserve wines from three previous years, vinified in oak and aged on fine lees. Disgorged October 2024. Intense mandarin with lemon zest and fine bitterness, deep dark gold, creamy texture without sweetness — with air more precise and structured.

95% Pinot Noir, 5% Chardonnay · Brut Nature (0 g/l) · Base 2021 + reserves 2020/2019/2018 · Bouzy, Ambonnay, Louvois & Tauxières, Premier Cru
