Champagne Jacquesson

Champagne Jacquesson from Dizy in the Vallée de la Marne is among the most watched houses in Champagne. Founded in 1798, it has been run since 1988 by brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, who have given the house an uncompromisingly quality-focused, terroir-driven direction.

Style & Philosophy

Jacquesson works with grapes from a few crus, including the Grands Crus Avize, Oiry and Aÿ as well as the Premiers Crus Dizy and Hautvillers, predominantly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The style focuses on precision over opulence: aging also in oak barrels, low dosage, lots of clarity and tension.

The Cuvées

The trademark is the Cuvée 700, since 1999 the numbered main cuvée of the house (701, 702, … 745): not a uniform non-vintage brand, but each year an independent assemblage that puts the respective base vintage at the center. Added to this are sought-after single vineyards like Avize Champ Caïn, Dizy Corne Bautray and Dizy Terres Rouges.
