Champagne Pierre Brocard

Pierre Brocard

Pierre Brocard is a grower house from Celles-sur-Ource in the Côte des Bar (Aube), in the Barséquanais at the very south of Champagne.

Vineyard & Style

The estate manages around 6.5 hectares, divided into eleven parcels that are vinified separately. Characteristic is the focus on single-varietal and often vintage-dated champagnes from the three grape varieties of the region: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and some Pinot Meunier. The soils of the Côte des Bar shape the style: Kimmeridgian limestone and marl that give the wines power and a salty-mineral vein.

The Cuvées in Detail

Tradition Brut d'Assemblage

The base cuvée is composed mainly of Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The maison lets the wine mature on lees for at least 24 to 36 months. In the glass, notes of ripe apple, pineapple and a touch of honey appear, along with a mineral signature that pairs well with oysters.
