Besserat de Bellefon

Besserat de Bellefon

Besserat de Bellefon is a champagne house based in Aÿ, a Grand Cru of the Montagne de Reims. The house is currently led by Nathalie Doucet as president. In recent years, the house has been recognized with awards: 2022 "House of the Year", 2025 "Hospitality Award".

Vinification

The house works without malolactic fermentation – the wines thus retain a precise, fresh acidity structure. The mousseux is typically Besserat: soft, creamy, restrained. The philosophy focuses on balance rather than boldness.

The Cuvées in Detail

Rosé Brut

Delicate perlage with fresh red berries like strawberry and red currant, plus a hint of almond and fine spice. Soft, creamy mousseux with elegant freshness – the absence of malolactic keeps the acidity clear and precise. 36 months aging on lees.

50% Meunier · 25% Pinot Noir · 25% Chardonnay · Dosage 8 g/l · 36 months aging
