Champagne Michel Hoerter is a Récoltant-Maison from Essômes-sur-Marne in the Vallée de la Marne, Département Aisne. The estate is now run by Jean-Philippe and is HVE and VDC certified.
Viticulture & Sustainability
The maison holds HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) as well as VDC (Viticulture Durable en Champagne) certification. Both seals are featured on the website and in their Instagram bio, demonstrating their documented approach toward sustainable farming practices.
Vinification
Michel Hoerter works with barrel aging for selected cuvées. The cuvée Intuition Futée – a single-varietal Meunier – is aged in wood; the maison explicitly talks about combining Meunier fruit with the complexity that the barrel brings. The dosage range spans from Brut Nature to Brut, with various cuvées released as Extra-Brut and classic Brut.

Assemblage of Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Gourmand style with notes of ripe, lightly jammy fruits. The cuvée is available in 37.5cl, 75cl and 150cl Magnum and won awards at the Concours International Gilbert & Gaillard in 2022 and 2023.
