Pauline Collin Bérêche

Pauline Collin Bérêche

Pauline Collin Bérêche is an independent Récoltant project from Ludes in the Montagne de Reims. Pauline Collin, daughter of Raphaël Bérêche, leads the maison and builds on uncompromising precision and terroir expression. The village of Ludes holds Premier Cru classification.

Vignoble & Soil

The project focuses on Ludes, where old vines stand on chalky, sparse subsoil on mid-slope sites. The soils are characterized by limestone and a sparse structure that gives the vines minerality and tension. The exact vineyard area is not publicly documented.

Viticulture & Vinification

Pauline Collin works with old vines and relies on spontaneous fermentation as well as lees aging. Fining is avoided, and élevage remains restrained. The focus is on place, not on oenological tricks. Dosage stays in the Extra Brut range; the Cuvée Vieilles Vignes comes entirely without any liqueur addition.

The Cuvées in Detail

Vieilles Vignes

A calm, dense champagne with ripe fruit, herbal spice, and fine lees notes. The base is the 2019 vintage, aged on lees with long maturation time. Dégorgement took place in July 2024. The cuvée is structured, balanced, and precise – a reflection of the Premier Cru terroir of Ludes on sparse chalk.

60% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 5% Petit Meslier · Extra Brut, sans ajout de liqueur · Base 2019 · Ludes Premier Cru, chalky soils, old vines, mid-slope
