Suenen – Precise Blanc de Blancs from Oiry

Suenen

Suenen is a Récoltant-Manipulant from Oiry, a Grand Cru village on the Côte des Blancs. The maison works with single vineyards and focuses on Blanc de Blancs from old vines – averaging 45 years – on the chalky soils of Oiry.

Vignoble & Soil

The vines are exclusively planted in Oiry, one of the six Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs. The soils are chalky and deliver that pronounced minerality that defines Suenen's champagnes. The average vine age of 45 years provides deeper roots and more extract.

Vinification

Suenen works with spontaneous fermentation, foregoes filtration and fining, and uses low dosage in the Extra Brut range (3 g/l). The goal: maximum terroir expression, pure clarity, reduction to the essential. The philosophy is artisanal and radical – the wines show the terroir without mediation.

The Cuvées in Detail
