Champagne Leclaire-Thiefaine

Champagne Leclaire-Thiefaine

Champagne Leclaire-Thiefaine is a vigneron maison based in Avize, a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. The maison is run by Virginie Thiefaine. The cuvées carry numbers – 02, 03 – and names like Guillemette and Constantin; the maison describes their champagnes as a "subtle blend of tradition and modernity, elegant and understated."

Vignoble & Soil

Leclaire-Thiefaine farms vineyard plots in Avize and Cramant, two of the finest Chardonnay sites in Champagne. The Cuvée 03 Constantin comes from old vines in Cramant – Grand Cru, pure Chardonnay site. Specific details about total acreage or grape variety distribution aren't available yet; but the known cuvées show a clear focus on Chardonnay and Grand Cru terroir.

The Cuvées in Detail

Cuvée 02 Guillemette – Le Rosé Extra Brut

A Rosé Champagne with vibrant notes of raspberry and strawberry, carried by mineral freshness. The Extra Brut dosage of 4.5 g/l creates a dry, balanced structure without unnecessary sweetness.

Dosage 4.5 g/l · Extra Brut · Rosé

Cuvée 03 Constantin – Grand Cru de Cramant V.V.

Blanc de Blancs from old Chardonnay vines in Cramant. Spicy notes, clear minerality – a Grand Cru Champagne that works just as well in the morning at breakfast with tropical fruits as it does classically as an aperitif.

100% Chardonnay · Grand Cru Cramant · Vieilles Vignes
