Champagne Tribaut Schloesser

Champagne Tribaut Schloesser is a Récoltant-Manipulant from Romery in the Vallée de la Marne, founded in 1929. The maison is run today by Valérie Tribaut and Gilles Schloesser. The vignoble is organic certified (AB).

History

The champagne house Tribaut Schloesser was founded in 1929 and has been family-owned ever since. For nearly a century, the Tribaut family has cultivated the vineyards in the Vallée du Brunet and continuously developed the operation. The current generation under Valérie Tribaut and Gilles Schloesser leads the maison with a clear commitment to organic farming.

Viticulture & Sustainability

The vignoble has been certified Agriculture Biologique (AB) for several years. The vineyards are located in the Vallée du Brunet, a sub-valley of the Vallée de la Marne. Documented parcels include Romery and Aÿ, with the latter being used in the Cuvée Authentique 2012.

Vinification

Tribaut Schloesser consistently uses oak aging for their reserve wines: barrels and foudres are used 100 percent, as documented with the Authentique 2012. The dosage spectrum ranges from Brut Nature (0 g/l) through Extra Brut (0.5 g/l) and Brut (0.9 g/l) up to Sec (2.5 g/l). The philosophy stays close to the terroir, without unnecessary interventions.

The Cuvées in Detail

Authentique 2012 — Extra Brut (80% Pinot Noir / 20% Chardonnay)

Blanc de Noirs with 8 years of lees aging, dégorgé in September 2024. The reserve wines mature entirely in oak barrels and foudres. Brioche and butter notes, clean acidity, subtle oak structure. Notable: hemp cord instead of classic wire muselet. Production: 5,273 bottles.
